On the waterfront, wander through the exhibits of Whitney Museum of Art to view the work of acclaimed 20th century and Contemporary artists. Stretched down the riverfront is Hudson River Park, which is home to dozen public piers, miles of pathways for biking, running, or rollerblading, and plenty of green space for recreation or lounging. 


Pier 40 marks the south end of the West Village waterfront. Here, residents can play at the pier’s many athletic fields, take their pups to the dog run, or learn more about the river’s ecosystem at the Wetlab.

 

Getting Around NYC

Well-connected in one of the most connected cities in the country, the West Village is no stranger to easy transport. You can get to Columbus Circle, Grand Central, Union Square, and Wall street in under thirty minutes by train or less than twenty minutes by car. The area is connected primarily via the 1/2/3 train.
